Why Remove Text Locally?
Online text removal tools typically require uploading your images to remote servers. This raises privacy concerns, especially for sensitive business materials, client assets, or personal photos. MinoRemove solves this by running AI inference entirely in your browser.
How AI Text Removal Works
AI inpainting reconstructs the area behind unwanted text using surrounding visual context. When you brush over text, the model analyzes nearby pixels and generates a natural-looking replacement that matches the surrounding background — textures, colors, lighting, and patterns.
Step-by-Step Guide
- Upload your image: Drag and drop or click to select a JPG, PNG, or WebP file.
- Select the text: Use the brush tool to paint over the text. Follow the text strokes and slightly expand beyond the letter edges for better context.
- Preview: Click the Preview button to see the AI-generated result. Use the before/after slider to compare.
- Export: If satisfied, click Export to download the cleaned image at full resolution.
Tips for Best Results
- Follow text strokes: Brush along the direction of text strokes rather than just drawing a rectangle. This helps the AI understand character shapes better.
- Expand slightly: Extend your selection slightly beyond the text edges to include some surrounding context.
- Handle multi-line text: For multi-line text, select all lines together rather than removing them one by one for consistent background reconstruction.
- Retry if needed: If the first result shows artifacts, try slightly expanding or contracting your selection area.
Privacy & Security
MinoRemove processes all images locally in your browser. No image data is uploaded to any server. The AI model runs using WebGPU or WASM on your device. You can verify this by opening your browser's Network tab — you'll see zero image data being transmitted.
